The Kind

There are people who like to cheat,
like to get with the police.
But then there are people who are
     gentle and kind
and love to use God’s gift, their mind.
These are the kind.

The kind do not use foul words
or use their hands to hit or hurt.
The kind only have a soul full of good.
These are the kind.

The kind are people who look for a chance
to help one another when they can.
They do not try to ignore but only try
     and help some more.
These are the kind.

The kind are like anyone else
     but only try to help.
So next time you see somebody in need,
try to do the good, kind deed.
