Elder examinations approved:   Elder Sally Clark and Elder Bob Brown were approved for service in the Class of 2012. Elder-elect Jinny Earnshaw will be approved pending completion of her preparation.  Service of Installation will be on January 10, 2010.
  Withdrawal of Elder-elect:    The Session received with regret the withdrawal of Carol Wise as Elder-elect, Class of 2012.   The nominating committee was informed of her withdrawal and will prayerfully seek another candidate to fill the vacancy.  A Special Meeting of the Congregation will be announced at a later date.
  In search of… Assistant Treasurer:   The Administration Team is searching for an Assistant Treasurer to begin training for back-up to our Treasurer.  If you would like more information about what is involved or are interested in serving in this area, please speak to Judy Nafziger or call the church office.
 Thrift Shop News: Thrift Shop sales total was up during the month of November, at $3089.30. The City of Sebastian has allowed us to put several small but noticeable signs on Main Street, pointing folk in the direction of the thrift shop and contributing to a notable increase in business.
  Pastor*s Vacation Approved: At a Special Meeting on November 22nd, the Session approved deferring one week of Rev. Ellie*s vacation from 2009 to 2010, to be taken the first week of January, 2010, for Ellie and Bruce to enjoy time with family. Monia Yust will fill the pulpit on January 3rd.
  Upcoming events: The Worship Team has planned a Service for Healing and Wholeness on Saturday, January 16, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. The Church Auction will take place on January 30, 2010.
  Worship Attendance: The average attendance at Sunday worship in November was 127. Communion was served to 121 persons on December 6th. Please continue to pray for, visit, and call to encourage those who are on our weekly prayer list and unable to be in worship.
  Membership Report: Showing 203 Active Members, 7 Affiliate Members, and 31 Inactive Members, noting the renewal of all Affiliate Members and the removal of Judith and Jeffrey Bairstow from active membership at their request.
