During the spring quarter, March 2009, we
will explore the creative nature of Christ as it affects human life and
the implications of his life for the world in which we live.
Unit I, "The Promise of New Life," looks at five
well-known passages from Ezekiel. The first three sessions examine new
life as it was promised to Israel in exile. Sessions 4 and 5 look to the
future God promised, as it would be fulfilled many generations later in
Jesus Christ.
Unit II, "The Path to New Life," is developed from
three passages in Luke and one in Acts. Sessions 6 and 7 examine the
suffering and death of Jesus and his triumph over death on the first
Easter Sunday. Session 8 continues with the last resurrection appearance
of Jesus in Luke. Session 9 finds Peter in Lydda and Joppa bringing new
life to others in the name and power of Christ.
Unit III, "The Way of New Life," explores Ephesians
through five concepts in that letter: church as family, life,
revelation, home life, and equipping ourselves for Christian Living.
